Why are your products made with Silicone? Is it safe for babies? Isn’t Plastic better?

Silicone is made by adding carbon and/or oxygen to silicon (sand). Plastics on the other hand are by-products of Oil.

Studies have shown that using plastic feeding products results in microplastics leeching into the food or liquid contained in them. These microplastics have later been found in the blood stream of humans. Though most plastic products today claim to BPA Free (a cancerous agent), the process of making plastic hard or transparent requires alternative chemicals like BPS & BPF which have similar properties to BPA. These alternatives just haven’t been banned yet but are in all Plastic products.

Silicone is a safe alternative which bypasses the above harmful properties of Plastic while providing many of the convenient properties of Plastic and more.
