Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Cubkins Products Private Limited ("Cubkins", "we", "us"), operator of cubkins.com (the "Site"), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit the Site or purchase from us. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

What we collect and why

  • Order and account information — name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and order details. Used to process and deliver your order, send confirmations and invoices, provide customer support, screen orders for fraud, and comply with tax and accounting laws. Payment details (card numbers, UPI IDs) are collected and processed directly by our payment gateway and are not stored by us.
  • Device and usage information — browser type, IP address, time zone, cookie data, pages and products viewed, and how you interact with the Site. Collected automatically via cookies, pixels and similar technologies to load the Site correctly, keep it secure, and analyse and improve how it's used.
  • Customer support information — the details you share when you contact us, used to resolve your query.
  • Marketing information — your email/phone and preferences, used to send you updates and offers where you have consented. You can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.

Basis for processing

We process your personal data with your consent, and for certain legitimate uses recognised under the DPDP Act — such as processing necessary to fulfil an order you have voluntarily placed with us, or to comply with law. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to connect@cubkins.com; withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out, and we may be unable to fulfil orders or provide services that depend on that data.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the Site and fulfil orders:

  • Shopify — hosts our online store and checkout (see shopify.com/legal/privacy)
  • Razorpay — processes payments
  • Logistics partners — receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order
  • Analytics and advertising partners — Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools, and Shopify Audiences, as described below

We may also disclose personal data to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from authorities, or protect our rights. We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use functional, performance and advertising cookies to remember your preferences, keep your cart working, understand Site usage, and measure our marketing. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies expire between 30 minutes and two years. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings (see allaboutcookies.org), though parts of the Site may not function fully without them.

Advertising and how to opt out

We use Google Analytics, the Meta pixel and Shopify Audiences to show you relevant ads and measure their performance. You can opt out of targeted advertising through: Facebook (facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads), Google (google.com/settings/ads/anonymous), and the Digital Advertising Alliance portal (optout.aboutads.info).

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it's processed
  • Correction and erasure — have inaccurate data corrected, incomplete data updated, and data no longer needed erased
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, as described above
  • Grievance redressal — have your complaint heard and resolved
  • Nominate — designate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity

To exercise any of these rights, email connect@cubkins.com with your registered email/phone so we can verify your identity.

We will acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month. If you remain unsatisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law (for example, order and invoice records retained for tax and accounting compliance). Data that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised.

Children

The Site is intended for users aged 18 and above. We sell products for babies; we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, write to connect@cubkins.com and we will delete it.

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. Our payment and platform providers use limited automated fraud screening (such as temporarily blocking IPs or cards associated with repeated failed transactions), which does not have such effects.

Storage and transfers

Your data is stored on our service providers' infrastructure, which may be located outside India (including the United States and Canada), as permitted under applicable law. Our providers maintain industry-standard security safeguards; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of any personal data breach as required by law.

Visitors from outside India

If you access the Site from the EEA/UK or California, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or CCPA (including access, portability, correction and deletion). Contact connect@cubkins.com to exercise them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time for operational, legal or regulatory reasons; the current version will always be posted on this page.
