✅ One-piece Smart-Bend spoon

The silicone fully encapsulates the reinforced core. There is no separate tip to come off, no seams and no joints. Inspect it before each use, as with any feeding utensil.

✅ Why 304-grade steel for the cutlery

304 (18/8) is the grade used in quality kitchenware. It resists rust, does not react with curd, lemon or tomato, and does not stain with haldi. The edges are rounded and buffed smooth, and the silicone handles are soft in a toddler's fist.

✅ Soft on gums and new teeth

The silicone is soft enough to be gentle on teething gums if your baby chews a rim or a handle (they will), and thick enough for daily use.

✅ Hot and cold

🔒 HOW TO GET STRONG SUCTION

Suction needs a smooth, clean surface to create a seal.

✅ Works best on: IKEA Antilop high chair trays, glass tables, granite countertops, smooth quartz.
❌ Will not stick to: wooden tables, textured plastic, scratched surfaces or tablecloths. Air escapes through the texture and breaks the seal.

1️⃣ Clean: make sure the tray and the suction base are crumb-free.
2️⃣ Dampen: wipe the suction base with a slightly damp cloth (water only).
3️⃣ Press: push down firmly on the centre to push the air out. You should feel it grip.

To release the plate or the bowl, lift the small tab on the edge of its suction base.

🟡 HALDI (TURMERIC) STAINS

Turmeric is a strong natural dye and silicone can pick up its colour. The tint is cosmetic and does not affect how the pieces work. Wash them normally, then leave them in direct sunlight for 3 to 4 hours. UV light breaks down the turmeric pigment and the stain fades.

The steel spoon and fork heads do not take up turmeric at all; they wipe clean.

🧼 SOAP SMELL

Silicone can pick up scent from strongly fragranced dish soaps (common with Vim, Pril and similar). Use a mild, fragrance-free soap. If a smell has already set in, boil the silicone pieces in water with 1 to 2 tablespoons of baking soda for 10 to 15 minutes. The smell should fade.

🧣 BIB AFTER MEALS

Rinse the bib under the tap or wipe it with a damp cloth straight after the meal, before the food dries. For meals out, roll it up with the pocket inside and tuck it into the nappy bag.

🥤 CUP CLEANING

Take the cup apart into cup, lid and straw after every use. Wash the straw with a thin straw brush and let all three parts air-dry completely before putting them back together.

Q: "Will the suction actually hold?"

Q: "Will turmeric stain everything?"
