✅ One-piece Smart-Bend spoon
The silicone fully encapsulates the reinforced core. There is no separate tip to come off, no seams and no joints. Inspect it before each use, as with any feeding utensil.
✅ Soft on gums and new teeth
The silicone is soft enough to be gentle on teething gums if your baby chews a rim or a handle (they will), and thick enough for daily use.

🔒 HOW TO GET STRONG SUCTION
Suction needs a smooth, clean surface to create a seal.
✅ Works best on: IKEA Antilop high chair trays, glass tables, granite countertops, smooth quartz.
❌ Will not stick to: wooden tables, textured plastic, scratched surfaces or tablecloths. Air escapes through the texture and breaks the seal.
1️⃣ Clean: make sure the tray and the suction base are crumb-free.
2️⃣ Dampen: wipe the suction base with a slightly damp cloth (water only).
3️⃣ Press: push down firmly on the centre to push the air out. You should feel it grip.
To release the plate or the bowl, lift the small tab on the edge of its suction base.
🟡 HALDI (TURMERIC) STAINS
Turmeric is a strong natural dye and silicone can pick up its colour. The tint is cosmetic and does not affect how the pieces work. Wash them normally, then leave them in direct sunlight for 3 to 4 hours. UV light breaks down the turmeric pigment and the stain fades.
🧼 SOAP SMELL
Silicone can pick up scent from strongly fragranced dish soaps (common with Vim, Pril and similar). Use a mild, fragrance-free soap. If a smell has already set in, boil the silicone pieces in water with 1 to 2 tablespoons of baking soda for 10 to 15 minutes. The smell should fade.
🥤 CUP CLEANING
Take the cup apart into cup, lid and straw after every use. Wash the straw with a thin straw brush and let all three parts air-dry completely before putting them back together.

Q: "Why a plate and a bowl?"
A: The plate keeps the parts of an Indian meal separate: roti or rice in the big compartment, dal, sabzi and curd in the small ones. The bowl is deeper, for runny dal, khichdi and porridge, and its bunny lid turns it into a storage bowl for leftovers.
Q: "Will the suction actually hold? My baby is strong."
A: Suction needs a smooth, clean surface. It works on IKEA Antilop trays, glass tables, granite and smooth quartz, and it will not stick to wood, textured plastic, scratched surfaces or tablecloths. Dampen the base slightly and press from the centre. Older toddlers may work out the release tabs, so keep an eye on mealtimes.
Q: "My baby chews the straw instead of drinking. What do I do?"
A: Completely normal at first. Gently press the little air hole on the lid: the drink rises up the straw, so the first try brings a sip instead of a chew. Start with a little water and keep practice sessions short.
Q: "Is the cup leak-proof?"
A: No. The straw has no valve, so your baby controls the flow with their lips, and the cup is not a sealed travel cup. Empty it before it goes in a bag.
Q: "Will turmeric stain the plate and
bowl?"
A: Turmeric (haldi) can leave a yellow tint on silicone. It is cosmetic. Wash the piece, then leave it in direct sunlight for 3 to 4 hours and the stain fades.
Q: "Can I microwave food in the plate and bowl?"
A: Yes. Warm food directly in them and serve; take the bowl lid off, or rest it loosely on top (never sealed). Always check the food temperature before serving.
Q: "My baby is 5 months old. Can I start using this now?"
A: This set is designed for 6 months and above, the age when most paediatricians suggest starting solids. Follow your paediatrician's advice on when to begin.
