The suction base grips smooth surfaces: an IKEA Antilop tray, a glass table or a granite counter. Your baby pushes, pulls and bangs; the bowl is designed to stay put. The softly rolled rim gives your baby's spoon an edge to scoop against.

Put the bunny storage lid on and place the bowl straight in the fridge. At the next meal, take the lid off, warm the food in the microwave and serve. No transferring food between containers, no extra dishes.

🥄 THE SMART-BEND SPOON — "Made for little fists"

Babies under 12 months hold things in a palmar grasp, a full-fist grip, and most cannot yet rotate their wrist to scoop with a straight spoon. That is normal development, not stubbornness.

The Smart-Bend spoon has a neck you bend by hand, up to 90° to either side, to match your baby's grip. Left-handed? Bend it left. Right-handed? Bend it right. Feeding them yourself? Keep it straight.

Inside the soft silicone sits a reinforced core that lets the spoon lift thick Indian foods like dal khichdi, ragi sheera and mashed rice without bending backward. The tip stays soft where it touches your baby's gums.

The textured bunny handle is designed for little gums to chew on between meals.

✅ One-piece spoon

The silicone fully encapsulates the reinforced core. There is no separate tip to come off, no seams and no joints. Inspect it before each use, as with any feeding utensil.

✅ Soft on gums and new teeth

The spoon tip and the bowl rim are soft silicone, designed for babies who are teething or have just started sprouting their first teeth.

✅ Steriliser, dishwasher and microwave suitable

Steam sterilise both pieces, run them through the top rack of a dishwasher, or boil them. Both are microwave suitable (bowl lid off or resting loose, never sealed). The silicone is rated from -20°C to 200°C.

Q: "The bowl and spoon turned yellow after dal and haldi. Are they ruined?"

A: No. Turmeric (haldi) is a strong natural dye and silicone can pick up its colour. The tint is cosmetic and does not affect how the bowl or spoon works. Wash them normally, then place them in direct sunlight for 3 to 4 hours; UV light breaks down the turmeric pigment and the stain fades.

Q: "The spoon smells like soap after washing. How do I fix it?"

A: Silicone can absorb strong fragrances from scented dish soaps. Switch to a fragrance-free cleanser. To remove an existing smell, boil the pieces for 5 minutes in water with a teaspoon of white vinegar or a squeeze of lemon juice. The smell should fade.

Q: "Will the suction actually hold? My baby is strong."

A: Suction needs a smooth, clean surface to create a seal. It works on IKEA Antilop trays, glass tables, granite and smooth quartz. It will not stick to wood, textured plastic, scratched surfaces or tablecloths. Clean the tray, dampen the suction base slightly and press down from the centre. Done right, it is designed to resist a baby's pulling and swiping; older toddlers may work out the release tab, so keep an eye on mealtimes.

Q: "Is the spoon too floppy for thick foods?"

A: No. That is the problem the reinforced core is designed to solve. The inner core is stiff enough to scoop dal khichdi, mashed rice, upma and ragi porridge, while the outer silicone stays soft where it touches your baby.

Q: "Can I microwave the bowl with food inside?"

A: Yes. Take the lid off, or rest it loosely on top (never sealed), and always check the food temperature before serving.

Q: "My baby is 5 months old. Can I start using this now?"

A: This set is designed for 6 months and above, the age when most paediatricians suggest starting solids. Follow your paediatrician's advice on when to begin, and use this set from that first meal.
